Hello,
This is my 2nd time in Bulgaria 1st time in Pamp...
What's it like out there? I am flying out with 4 of my mates in a weeks time...
Any tips on where to hit and where to miss??
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Hi Nath - and a warm welcome to the board!
Nothing really to miss in Pamporovo as I cannot think of any bad places or anywhere that you will feel uncomfortable or welcome at.
Places to try during the day on the slopes - Peters Bar in my opinion do the best food by far and very reasonable prices. You will find it at the upper mid station on the right just after the T Bar drag lift. After skiing we always have a beer in the Markony just accross from Malina ski depot at the bottom. Roaring log fire and great atmosphere. In the evening there are lots of bars in the resort to try. I would suggest you try a few to see which you prefer, but late on try Daks bar for a really fun night out. You will find it to the right hand side of the Snejanka Hotel.
Let me know where you are staying and when you are going and I'll do my best to give you some more advice and tips.

We are stopping in the Panorama Apts heading out in 1 weeks time... cant wait.. haven't been skiing abroad in about 5 years! (TOO LONG) 
What kind of people are out there? young / old? Nationalities wise also?

Haha - no not my bar, just my favourite bar 
All ages and many nationalities.
Obviously Bulgarian, then Greek, Russian, Turkish, German to name a few, but the tourists are mainly British.
You will have a blast - I promise you.

Hi Nath - Pete's right, you will have a blast. His memory's not so good though - as you face Snezhanka hotel, Daks is on the left of the building (but on the rhs of the road if you are driving past the hotel) |

I'll be there from Monday night (good job I checked the tickets - I had it in my head we were flying on Tuesday!!) and will be there for 10 days. Probably to be found in the white dog or Markony at the end of every day!
Are you boarders or skiers??

Was out last week best week of skiing ever (19 Yrs) " Might even change my name to Pamporovo Ian lol"
But I have to agree with Pamporovo Pete tried Peter Bar they were digging it out last week soo much snow.
Food Top best I and the kids had on the moutian all week wish I had found it on the 1st Day.
There resturant almost oppersite "Brothers" the ski instructors will try to take you. Brothers food and service 5 / 10. Peter ( Irish Bar ) Food and service 9 / 10 also this is a small and family run Very frendly. Not a Motorway Cafe!
If you tell them that you have seen a vgood review on this site they realy go out thier way to look after you. But I must say it seemed the same for everbody!
OK Prices. I think about 20% cheaper overall (Also only place I found that put Smartties on top of their Hot Chocs (kids Loved it)
Running Chicken pizza: (brothers 16 Lev) Peters 9.5 Lev. and much better.
They also listen to what you say example:
I said i wanted a picturer of my kids with the Huskeys on leaving I was given a napkin with salami to give to the huskeys so I would get a good picture (I had half coz it was so nice) But got a great picture. Hope this has been of help.
One major thing I have found is that a few words of Bulgrian go a very long way. Just to say "Starrusty" means Hi Helo I was told
( I hope I have not been calling myself a willy all week) and Bo Derrier - Thank you & Mulla - Please. All very bad pronounceation but they will understand.
Just to add the Tea Bar at manilla wardrobe look after me and my Daughter a treat even arranged a birthday party and got her a ski hat from the bar as a present Free. Never been so well looked after!

Well Nath Best Snow I have seen. I was there the week before the Europe cup Mens Skiing (left 11th Feb) so think the Slope came second But brill snow but lacking on the sun but think this will improve. I think the best way to sum up Pamps is "Rustic" what you put in you get back and some more.!
