BORO OR BANSKO

Hi everyone

We had our first ski holiday in early feb this year in pamps annd absolutely loved it although the snow wasn't great so as i'm still going to be a poor student next year we still want to go back to bulgaria but not to pamps. So question is boro or bansko?? which is better in your opinions?? there are some great deals with ingrams at the minute!

If you like a more relaxed nightlife then I think bansko is better as in my opinion the variation of skiing better suits a learner

Havent been to Boro but love Bansko, as above good ski area and nice mehena resturants at night a lot lower key than pamps and Boro. After some of the reports on here about Boro it has put me off. Depends on what you are after for your apre ski.

Personal opinion, but the lift system is better in Bansko, the resort links better, there are more snow cannons, and to my mind a wider variety of runs. There isn't the bar atmosphere of Boro and Bansko is much more spread out... I am going to open a can of worms, but i think Bansko is cheaper as well to eat and drink, and there is more choice...
Ok, i live in Bansko so im biased, but i still enjoy Boro, especially the off-piste, and when conditions are good, the piste skiing is superb...

Having been a mature student myself, I may be assuming a lot but if you are a youngish student (or an older party animal!) Boro has fab nightlife as well as great skiing. I was lucky enough to go twice this year, poor snow first week, but still skied every day and fab snow 2nd week so enjoyed all the runs and went off piste - fab week! Great mix of people too.

Nice thing about a forum is that everyone is entitled to their opinion and will advise on that basis, as you have. It would be hoped that any enquiry would look further and investigate, im sure they will take your advice on board, as they will with others...
