Typically would you locals say that the slopes are busier on Sat or Sun? we tend to avoid skiing on the weekend as a few years ago was just bedlam, but as the conditions are so good at the moment we thought we may do one day or the other. which? |

Most tour companies fly out on saturdays with ski school starting sun I believe, so therefore sat should be way less busy ........ def like that in pamps and assume Bansko is the same  |

Weekends are busier i'm afraid, locals will come up, as Sofians will, because Vitosha is closed... but if its any consolation, its busy anyway, not that you notice it much once you have made it up the mountain, just the queue for the gondola in the morning..
Drive up to Challin Valog, find somewhere to park, and meet the gondola at the mid station... |

Tour ops sunday also so still people there Sat!! just get up there early when the gondola opens .......... |

My experience is that yes it is busier at the weekends but Sat is the quieter day of the 2, and I always attributed that to the fact that the changeover day was on a Saturday... Not sure how right that is, but Sats definitely seem a bit quieter (but still busy)... |
