Any snowboarder's going to be in Bansko, from the 6th-17th March? I'm going with my family, but they all ski.
I dont wanna be a loner boarder 
It would be good to board with someone for a change.

We'll be there from the 7th for a weeks.
Me and my mate will be boarding whilst the women folk ski. We're booked to do the lessons for the first 3 days (only the mornings though). You're more than welcome to join us if you want... don't expect any great skill though haha |

I'll be there from the 12th -17th. Probably be the only boarder in my group as well. Rob TK - did we play poker in the Irish last year? Possibly split the pot at the end iirc?
Was hoping to get someone to show me the back side of the mountain as it were this year - so might be keen to hire a guide, or possibly even Steve C to show me if anyone's interested, and the conditions are right?

mtem74 - Is this your first time boarding then? Either way it will be good to board with someone new.
Mattsville - Sounds awesome, I really wanna check out the fun park properly this year. And I'm all up for meeting up, Board, banter and booze are in order I think! haha.

I'm not 100% whats exactly in the fun park, but I'm pretty sure they have a halfpipe and your usual rails and jumps. I know it's been there for a few years now but I've never gone there. But apparently it wasn't open last year, so fingers crossed it'll be open this year. |

ok great sounds cool went to usa boarding last year to waterville valley and loon.
they know the meaning of parks it was mad with like a 20ft half pipe and 70ft clearance jumps wouldnt dream of trying it.
just hope the little rails and kickers are open be a good laugh.

I'm out in Bannf in 4 weeks time.
A bit of this  and that  Awsome board parks out there. Here's a tip, if your doing tricks use a gum shield so if you face plant your teeth don't go through your bottom lip. (Ouch) Trust me I have seen it.

Fun park was open last year , and i played on it several times , its to the right after you get off the top chair .... boxes/rails , barrels etc ..... was late getting it finished etc , as most of work is done by local park rats |

i was reading in the paper today about a boy walking home from somewhere, and a pack of wolfs come up to him and he didnt know what to do, so he got his phone out and played some rock music and they all ran away haha! I think it was in America.
so all they needed was some rock music and they would of been fine! |

Hi Kupcake, i am a regular boarder and regular to Boro as i have a house there so out there 3 times a year...
Love it and will always no doubt.
Been going for 7 years now had the house 6 years and took out approx 20 skiers in my time so my board has a few ski pole kinks!!!!

yes, been before, we are in an apartment, Winslow Infinity&Spa (not open to public yet) but just behind Winslow Highland up from Kempinski, so at top end of town. Might do a quick bar crawl Sunday night to show mate the town, (though not big one, as want to be on first lift ) so might be in Harry's bar or something like that...

All skiers on here ??? sadly not, the admin have made a special dispensation for the amputees (lost one fat ski) and the particularly poor (can only afford one fat ski) so they can integrate with `normal' skiers, and feel they are part of the community.
I feel this is a good thing generally, though sometimes `boarders' as they have become known, can start to get a bit uppity, with their demands for seats on pistes, mirrors, and their own language.... remember, its only charity that allows you on here

sorry kayla.....didn't get round to logging in anywhere so didn't see the posts, had a blast, though went down a 'closed' slope didn't see it was closed and ended up in a double dip stream and totally wiped out injuring ankle and shoulder, so many people were doing the same thing, it was in the shade on a kind of blind corner... oh well didn't really affect holiday, and I'm tempted to go back if the forecasts are correct... maybe see you another time... |
