Borovets - Getting local currency

Can anyone give advice on currency? is it better to get it before hand or is it easy to get cash out in Borovets?

Bring Bank of England notes. Most hotels will change it. The rate you should be looking for is £1.00 = lev 2.80

Try Marks & Spencers to get some to take out with you, best rate on the high street, I got 2.82 when I went on the 3rd of Feb. Have fun.

Today's rates in a high street Bulgarian bank:

Raiffeisen 2.893 - needless to say, I'll be changing mine in Bulgarian banks for the next 3 weeks or using my Nationwide Debit Card in Bank ATMs for an even better rate, as usual. Wink

Yes, Postbank's rates are usually marginally lower than Raiffeiesen's - their website isn't showing today's rates at the time of posting this.
