Hi AndieHow long did it take you to get back from Sofia??
We are still in Pamps and should be catching the flight back at 9:30am Monday morning. Its dumping now and we are trying to figure out what time we should leave as the forecast is predicting more for tommo nite!
Any further details on the conditions down the road would be great!

Hi PSP - It took me about 4.5 hours as the roads were very slippery and a bit worse than usual as they are normally cleared and gritted all the time.To give you some idea it usually takes me about 2 hours to get off the mountain and down to to Metro and then about 1.5(+) hours from Metro to Sofia Airport. This is normal driving without being like "Schummie in a Skirt" as Jordan describes me lol

Well that was a fun drive peeps - Thanks for the concern!!! As the snow kept coming on Sunday night we decided to leave earlier than usual at 2:00am.
Got to the car having dug it out earlier Sunday afternoon and had to dig it out again for 30 mins
due to the amount that had dropped...
5 and 1/2 hours later we arrived in Sofia having driven through blizzard conditions all the way. I have never seen snow like that in my life let me tell you and the number of times we had to sit ...

Yes there was that much!!! But all the way down we were laughing at just how much fun people were going to have this week
Didn't stop there though - having got on the plane we then had to sit on the tarmac for 3 hours while they continued to clear a path for us to take off. Finally got away at 1:00pm and got in the door at home around 4:30pm UK time!!!!
Happy Days and no complaints though - if you wish for Powder thats what you get
