How cheap does it get?

I need some advice, I want to ski for 2 weeks this Winter, just one person. For accomodation, as basic as it comes, I just want a bed. I don't want to have to go 50 miles every day to get to the mountains, but I am willing to go some way. I live in Ireland, I don't mind traveling in the back of an ox drawn cart to get there, if the price reduction justifies it. I don't necessarily require ski classes. How would I go about booking this holiday for the least money possible? Your advice ...

Book now basically, check major operators as there can be some bargains. If you want to organise our own, check out wizzair/easyjet/etc for flight bargains (just booked new years eve £44.00). Single supplements might be an issue, get involved on a web forum (here ????) and see if you can interest another to join you, even a crowd, then you could consider renting a large apartment, share transfer costs, food etc, and you would have some company. One of my best holidays was with a group of five (four fellas and a lady ???) sharing an apartment here in Bansko, i slept (occasionally !!) on a bed settee, but what the hell, it was great Very Happy

re: How cheap does it get?

Hi Danny
I did a week in Boro - March at the hotel Olymp - very basic but warm and dry and plenty of food - 10 min walking distance to lifts etc - it was the cheapest deal I could find. Booked with Balkan Hols and cost approx £440 flights/HB accomm/one week ski equipment /lift pass and brill instruction. Good luck Danny.

re: How cheap does it get?

12 euro a night here
http://www.hostelworld.com/availability.php/Knights-Lodge/Bansko/23252

it states a hostel but is more of a appartment.
not bad at 12 euros.
cheap flights at about 100 euros and then the cost of a lift pass plus transfers.
Can anyone beat that??
