Just booked to stay here early Jan. for a week.
Anyone stayed here before?
Skied Borovets last time and decided on Bansko this year because of the positive reviews.
What are the good bars/resteraunts in Bansko?
Looking forward to having a dip in the hotel outdoor pool.

Friend of mine stayed at the Kempinski couple of years and was most impressed. Fantastic location next to the Gondala. As for bars Try Sir Galahads and the lion bar. Plenty of good Mehanas for grub in old town try and get up the side streets for the best deals.

Stayed in the Kempenski 3 times now and without doubt it\'s the best hotel in Bansko and certainly lives up to the 5 star rating as does all the hotels that are in this german chain.
You will not be disapointed.
As for the bars and restaurants there are too many good ones to list, but there are good ones to the left of the town square as you walk down and also a little way out near the supermarket. Can\'t remember it\'s name but is on a corner where the road forks to go up into the town.

Thanks for your info.
We booked into the club accomodation block.
Hope it has nice views from the balcony,
Stayed at the Rila in Borovets last time and the views were excellent.

Great hotel, the best in Bulgaria, so no probs their! plenty of places but down the road and turn the first right and its on the right is the friendly pub, great live music,food,drinks and the staff are very nice
