You would need to catch the bus from the main terminal in sofia. A short Taxi ride will take you there. The same with Plovdiv airport. May be worth getting a taxi to Assenovgrad where you couls catch the bus up.Sofia bus station
Arron - we are heading out in January separately with friends this year and then in February as a family with friends. Thanks to Aer Lingus we getting cheap fares, but we are now having to go to Sofia. What time can you expect to do transfer in (by taxi), in the evening time, with someone who knows were they are going lol? P gona hire a car and give it a go with his brothers and friends, but I def wont be driving when I go!
Arron has been known to do it in 2hrs 20 mins in the summer with me as the white knuckled rider! During the winter I would expect it to take 3 hours plus.
I met Stoyan and Rumi at the airport, i didnt realise that u live in Magherafelt, i live in Maghera (small world) will call next time i am over. I travelled from Sofia to Papmporovo at 9pm took less than three hours in car, whe are going in January?
Thanks Guys - Nicky that husband of yours must be an expert by now! Going to be a bit of a jaunt for us as we have to travel to Dublin as opposed to flying from Belfast - ah well worth it due to cheap flights!!
Hi Sally isnt it just a small world! only found this out last week also! Do call surely that would be great. Did you find the dublin to sofia trip tiring? we only going from tue-sat Paddy going with his brothers and friends, and I going with my friend Ann-Marie.
Not one bit boring Sheila, I also went from Tuesday to Saturday last week, got a bus direct to airport from Belfast 2.15 mins - no parking expenses!! Mr Bean, if you know him is always picking up from Sofia and taking to Pamporovo (7 seater minibus) i have his details i am sure he will be picking someone up at same time.
