Prams in Bansko in the winter

Hello
I am new to skiing and have booked a holiday to Bansko in Feb and am we are taking our little girl with us, she will be 20 months when we go, I want to take a puschair for the airports either end and for the evenings but what is it like pushing the pram around in the day time? She is walking so isn't not a big deal in the day time, Does anyone have an experiences of this? I would love to hear.
Thank you

re: Prams in Bansko in the winter

All depends if you have a lot of snow in the town at the time you are there really. Normally the town stays pretty clear of snow and they do clear it quickly if it does snow in town but not all the streets so if it snows heavily you will not be able to use the puschair. But generally I guess it would not be a problem. Very Happy

We live here in Bansko and have an 18month old girl. It is only a big problem when there have been big dumps of snow and before they have cleared the roads. But this is usually done very quickly. Not too much of a problem at all just stay on the roads as they are usually clearer than the paths.

Hello Steve, Thank you very much for your reply, it's good to get information from people who actually live in Bansko

re: Prams in Bansko in the winter

I've not skied in Bansko but when our kids were little and we were heading out to the French ski resorts, we always used a backpack instead of a pram. That way if there was snow in the resort we had no transportation problems. (We were always able to borrow a pram from the creche the kids were using if we needed one.)
It also made it much easier at the airport and takes up a lot less room.

Thank you snow white, we do have a backpack and often use it when we are out walking but we were thinking of using the pram to pop her into in the evenings when she gets tired and then she can have a little sleep til we get back to the apartment, she isn't one for falling alseep in your arms or in the back pack sadly :

re: Prams in Bansko in the winter

Our back pack had a stand so you could take it off and stand it up - it was sort of slightly reclined. We used to pad around the top with blankets etc and all the kids slept quite happily in it. - I've a lovely photo of one of mine asleep in it if you want to drop me an e-mail
