Safe way to send pmt.

I'm reluctant to send my credit card numbers to some place in Bulgaria. It seems to me that, if someone wanted to rip you off, there wouldn't be a thing you could do about it. What's the best way to pay for reservations?

sending a cheque would be safer but be aware they would have to wait for it to clear so if time is not an issue Question Razz

I thought you are insured against that kind of thing with a credit card.

try a bank transfer. Don't underestimate the credit card scamming capacity here - mine gets nobbled at least once per year and I hardly ever use it

Then I guess it would not be safe to use a credit card while shopping, etc. either. So, if I need cash, could I get cash at a bank with my ATM card?

They don't really accept cards in BG - most places use cash.

Cards are starting to be accepted now in the shops at least. My recommendation as always is to get a Nationwide account - use the whole in the wall (Plenty in pamps now) get a better exchange rate and no charges for using it!!!
