Tour Operator

Which Tour Operator, Crystal or Inghams for Pamporovo.

Hi Mike and Christine,

Not sure if you are aware that Balkan Holidays also operate out of the UK and cover Pamporovo.

To be honest I don't tink there is much to choose between any of them. People may well have their favourites due to good or bad experiences in the past, but these are usually isolated and often not of the makings of the tour operator.

I would just look for the best deal you can find at the hotel and airport of your choice and go with that.

Got to disagree Mr Jeffrey, we've only flown with Balkan (the english ones) and never had any problems whatsoever. The reason we fly with Balkan is for us they are much better flight times than the others & they fly Sundays instead of saturdays which means you get a really nice quiet last day on the slopes.

Also they were extremely generous this year - we took an extra 80kg of baggage for the orphanage all for free.

All personal taste of course but thats why they get my vote.

We too never had a problem with Balkan when we went with them in the past. Can't please all the people all the time. Same as other tour comps. All have horror stories in the closit!

If you are going to pamps the crystal reps out there are fab and there is a good Inghams rep too. Thomson also go to pamps although they are joined with Crystal they still have their own reps as well. The ski packs in particular with Crystal/Thomson are really good value too. First choice also go to pamps ....I think if it was me and I had no preference would look for a good deal. I personally always book with Thomson and have always had a fab time. Happy holiday hunting.

best thing to do is check them all, most do the same hotels and packages, but have different deals.

Agree with Dona,
(touch wood) i've never had a bad ski holiday with Thomsons and would highly recommend them, they make things ever so easy from start to finish.

Just been into first choice (Reading) to get some euros and they had a few Thomson brochures scattered around various shelves I asked the young lady why they had Thomson brochures and she told me that Thomsons have bought out first choice as well as crystal.

When we last went to Pamps a few years ago we booked the hotel, transfer, lift pass, ski hire and ski lessons through this site and arranged our own flights with BA. Doing that meant we stayed 10 nights in a 2 room apartment at the Murgavets for the price of a week with a tour operator!!
