Im looking to book up for a weeks skiing in Bansko towards the end of February and was wondering if anyone knows of any creche facilities in the area.
I have a 2 year old daughter and seem to have problems finding any daycare for her.
Please give me some info and of course reviews if anyone has any.
Thanks all

Apparently there is a new english creche opening up for the children. Not sure of all details but will let my partner Steve C get back to you about this.

You could also try the Kangaroo Creche at the Kandahar, here is a link to another site (cheap dirt bag site hehehehehe) that has a short report...http://talkbansko.6.forumer.com/viewtopic.php?t=4739&highlight=creche
Hope this helps, we will be looking soon for Jess, our daughter |

Author : Andrew Coomber (---.bb.sky.com) posts : 4 Date : 06-22-09 22:18 Hi Steve, This is reassuring as all the brochures dont seem to cater for kids under 3.
Just wondering do you know of any quality chalets or appartments which are near to the gondola as would prefer to book up independently rather than go for the package, there is possibly 2 families going out, a family of 4 and a family of 5.
All going well I will be hitting the bulgarian piste next February.
Thanks for your time Steve
Andrew

We put our youngster in the creche at the top of the gondola when he was 3, and I am sure there were younger kids there. Can be booked independantly when you get there through Ulen.
Also the Mountain Paradise group of apartments, MP1, MP South have a creche within the hotel/apart facilities. Try here http://www.mountain-paradise.org/

I am also looking to holiday in Bulgaria sometime next Year (This Christmas or next April).
I wondered if you wouldnt mind telling me how you got on with booking both a hotel and creche? (i.e. price wise etc). Also, do the creche's cater for 1 yr olds.
Any help or advise you can give would be very much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Anthony |

Author : Andrew (---.bb.sky.com) posts : 301 Date : 10-01-09 00:52 Hi Anthony
I have managed to book the Kandahar hotel in Bansko for Feb 2010 at a very reasonable rate. In the Kandahar they have the Blue Kangaroo creche which has had great reviews which is reassuring and very reasonable, about £35 a day and it caters for 6 month old pluses.
The hotel cost me just over £800 for self catering but this included the creche, ski lessons for 2, ski hire for 1 and private transfers. All that is left to get are the lift passes and of course food and drink which is very cheap. Also the hotel is only about 100m from the gondola which is always a bonus.
We are flying with ba from Heathrow and paid £350 for the 4 of us.
All in all a cheap ski holiday but we have been there before and had a great time.
I hope this helps and if you get out there have a great time.

I also have a frined who does a babysitting service and the odd day care when not working if anyone is interested!! Very nice english lady who lives here in Bansko. She looks after my daughter now and again so as me n steve can get out biking or the odd occasional evening meal/drink. |
