Advice needed, can people give me their opinions of the below menu, from your experience of gala dinners in hotels in bulgaria, would you be pleased if you got below?Thanks in advance for your opinion


Smoked fish and meat

Salmon with crème fraiche and bilini
Eel with a horseradish cream
Mackerel with a cumquat and red onion salsa
Fillet Elena, pastrami, banski staretts
With an apple and walnut chutney
Breads


Salad

Salad of lime and ginger marinaded tiger tail ...

On roasted pepper and seasonal leaves


Soup

Pumpkin and coconut Thai soup


Main course

Pan-fried duck on a potato and leek rosti
Roasted orange scented root vegetables
Port jus


Followed by

Seared salmon with a lemon butter sauce
Warm cherry tomato, potato, green bean and caper salad


Dessert

Apple tart tatin with calvados sauce and caramel vanilla ice cream

All looks good to me..

Been to a couple of "Gala" dinners,what a experiance...

Wouldn't change it for the world... Very Happy

I would possibly serve the fish dish before the meat, other than the Eel all looks pretty good to me. shame I will be spending christmas day with the mother in law Booze may help Razz

Wow Michelle - what a menu. A little of something for everyone methinks and I have just had a bowl of chicken soup (home made)

Simple menu, in my eyes 20 years old in western kitchen.

The questions is in what hotel you will have it and what you expect too.

I think it is lousy for a gala dinner.

Sounds delicious, our Xmas Day gala dinner at the Lion Borovets couple of years ago was quite good by all standards, but not as good as yours!! Would eat the lot if it was put in front of me.
