Hi guys,
Have read soo many comments about going to bulgaria for winter sports and takn them on boards. staying at the lucky bansko which ive heard nothing but good things about.
and just wondering is 12th December too early. am i asking for trouble?? looked at the respective dates ont he webcam from last year and there was plenty of people about on the snow.
anyone got any experience on the subject??
also are the schools any good??
Don't know about the snow, I assume your a snowboarder? if so I can recommend both Method snowboard school (google them) and Ulen who are based at bottom gondola station, have 2 great intermediate /advanced instructors.
You could be lucky, but to be honest I would not go that early to Bulgaria. I would aim for a higher resort in the Alps, but even in the Alps ,Sking could be poor. If you are committed to going then I would wait and see and book nearer to the time
this year Bansko opened early, but the official opening day was 15th december. There was lots of early snow this year, last year it only snowed a week before opening day, so i think the others are right, wait nearer the time.

I would not recomend Ullen , they have groups of 12 to 14 learners.
For the same money Bansko sports will offer groups of 4.
Vitosha had early snow and looked great all seaon! Pamps is very hit and miss but usually poor early December. Higher resorts tend to be a little better but no guarentees with any.
Re Schools, as previously rec. I can recommend Method as well, based at the Kandaha, a very short distance to the gondala, they are very good. (The big green sign on the Emerald next door is easier to spot ) Owned by an English guy named Ash, with UK instructors. as Joe said, "google them".
With so much accomodation in Bansko, no need to book this early as other have said.
