we went to pamps in march last year and were unlucky with the weather ie not much snow

i know nothing is guaranteed but can anyone who has been late jan over the last few years give us an insight into the usual weather around that tiem of year?

DD NOTTS,
We were in Pamps 27th Jan this year for a week and was told that the last week in jan is statisticaly the best snow week of the season, not 100% sure if that's true and i'll probably be corrected but we had a lot of snow and i've booked again for the same week next year.

I've been to Pamps in Jan for the last 3 years. 05 - 06 was fantastic - knee deep powder, 06 - 07 not so great but most routes ski able, last year better; I boarded all runs in Jan (including Smolyan Lakes, which got a bit rocky towards the bottom).

I've got a question as well -- we're looking at w/c 18.1.09, has that been ok? Only gone Feb/Mar, 1st 2 years brill, 2nd 2 years pretty damn poor at Pamps.

Anyone?

Wink

Awww thanks Aaron !!! The trouble with website above is its only for the month and as we all know it can vary one hell of a lot in that month.
You've just confirmed what I was pretty much thinking, we're going to wait until a couple of weeks before going to book, make sure theres enough snow. Don't want a repeat of last year.

Ta very much

Very Happy

Word of warning, igluski snow depths and snow history is not the most accurate. I was in Boro, very 1st week of march this year and believe me there was not 80cm on the lower slopes at the start of march let alone the end of march, more like 20cm. I think Jan should be fine though
