Hi,

Rate of exhange yesterday at Sofia airport was £1 = 1.9leva. Not much better in banks, where your £ will buy 2.2 leva. This time last year you could get 2.7!!

True the official rate is today 2,27 lev per pound.

use the bank atms, youwill get more than 1.9 leva. the money changers always rip you off

This will be my first time in pamporovo.

Can anyone tell me if there are cash machines that will accept Irish/Link bank cards in the town/resort?

Yes they take Link cards - at least the one in the Orlovetz certainly does

dont change money in arrivals, if you have time go into the departure terminal and change it there, they use the normal non rip off bank rate Smile
if not then use the banks in resort
