has anyone purchased an apartment in victoria in bansko,are they happy with the delays,obviously not.has any1 had any bad experiences with builders i have 40per cent left to pay but not finsished and with the crunch i d raher pay he rest off my enlglsih mortgage,not hearing good about bansko at allre: victoria apartments bansko
just had about 15 teen new pics sent me and i have compleated on my appt looks v good

Karen, I was out looking at the Victoria in April and from seeing the new pics there has been some good progress made in the last few months. I'm fairly happy with the way things are going. I wouldn't get too down about your investment, when the world economy turns (for the better) in 2011 Bansko will start to shape up nicely as an investment! just my opinion though....re: victoria apartments bansko
Had very bad experience, i have purchased a 1 bedroom apartment, but since paid all the money im unable to get hold of the developers for the final paperwork.

Took a couple to view their and two other apartments, the agent claimed that the whole complex will be complete by December 12th. Now, im not a developer but i think she was being a bit optimistic due to the amount of groundworks and the fact that they are starting to build 42 additional apartments at the front of the development (same developer), it is on top of the underground parking. The apartments we saw seemed of a reasonable quality and virtually all are complete. What needs to be ...

What needs to be finished is the pool, spa, restaurant, reception and as stated all the groundworks and feeder road. I cannot see them finishing by Dec 12th and the road definately will not be done until the new apartments are much further on.

I went over there in August and was happy with the progress thinking and being told that the apartments would be ready lock stock by October end it seems this is endless. If this goes into Jan-Feb then thats another season down the swany. Have most now settled in full ?re: victoria apartments bansko
If you have 40% still to pay - you need to think hard about your options.1. You decide to not pay anymore and write off the 60% you have already paid.
2. Whats your personal situation in the UK - this is the most important thing as if you lose your house here you've had it.
3. What were your reasons of buying in the first place? Have those reasons changed?

I have no problems completing the final amount but being new to the buyers market it would seem that you sign up to a contract that enables the developers to have you over a barrell so to speak. Was'nt the origianl completion date Dec2007 ? And now it's more likely to be Dec2009 before everything is complete. I think that it's whats most disappointing. The thing to be happy with, from what I saw, is that quality of finish is excellent and that at the end of the day is hugely important - it is better to have quaility delivered late rather something shoddy delivered on time.
Also the complex has Act 16 ...
