Just back from Alpe d'Huez, 7 EUR a pint in most places which was steep; however, the 250km of piste more than made up for it - unfortunately thats something Borovets can never offer, shame.

Hi Emma and Lou,
the hotel BOR is situated in the southern part of Borovets. As I heard it had been reconstructed some years ago ( we stayed there seven years ago). What we liked was the beautifull surroundings and the friendly stuff, what we disliked was the dayly walk to the gondola, approx. 10- 15 minutes, But think there is a shuttle between hotel and gondola. If you like Bulgarian and some international food try restaurant Tshutshuliga, it is opposite hotel Bor. For lunch I recommend hotel/restaurant Popangelov, the one and only skier of BG. You will find the restaurant on the road betwenn hotel Rila and complex Flora, next to the pists and hotel Ice Angels, soup 2,50 - 3,00 Leva, main dishes from 5 Levs, cheep and tasty pints - f.i. Kamenitsa black and Stolitchna. Good bar with friendly staff at hotel ELA (opposite hotel Samokom), happy hour from 8.00 to 01.00 with prices from 7,00 to 10,00 for long drinks and buy one get two, 3,50 Levs 0,5 l beer ...
concerning lessons : no need to worry, head up, the tutor will manage, good English speaking and skilled.
