Borovets Christmas

Just wondering if anyone has experienced a Borovets Xmas? We've been before but not during the "season", so not sure what to expect. First skiing day is Christmas Day! Will there be lessons? Normal times? We're staying in the Yanakiev this time but done Rila and Ela before and know the town pretty well. Curious as to how it will work out. We've two teenagers in tow to complicate things! My fav bar was always the Titanic for apres but like a few others too. Sure we'll meet a few nice new ...

re:Borovets Christmas

I am in Borovets with the family over Xmas. When I booked (via Neilson), I was told that the lifts and ski school all operation on Xmas day.
- don't take this as gospel.... I am also interested to hear from anyone who has first-hand experience.

Hi Martin ,I'm staying at the yanakiev this christmas with the wife , two young boys who act like teenagers and another family in tow. stayed at the alpin last christmas which was great, everything runs as normal regarding ski school ,lifts etc on xmas day all be it being a little bit quieter on the slopes, were having xmas dinner at bobby 's ,will probably bump into each other either on the slopes , or at the bar.

Cheers Brian. Sounds good. We've a seventeen year old on his second trip along with his girlfriend who's a first timer. Look forward to meeting up and hopefully not bumping into you on the slopes! Useful info thanks re Christmas Day. I thought there was a gala dinner in the hotel or something? I guess it will all work out. Just need to keep the snow dance going now. Could do with some more at the gondola top!
