Borovets Ski Season

Hi, does anyone know how long the ski season is in Borovets. We are thinking of going over (snow permitting) Tuesday 1st April this year for 5 days, would the gondolas, lifts and ski hire still be available. Cheers Charlie

Dont know the official season dates, but I'd book very last minute either way if I was you, definitely not the best season for Boro unfortunately. Doesnt it say on BoroSport website?

Hey charlie i knows its inly Feb but is this an early april fools joke ? Season mormaly ends mid march and most places sill be closed down by then. It hasnt snowed since mid jan and its 10 degrees plus most days and it hasnt fallen below 0 at night so not even the snow cannons are working unless the snow comes thick and fadt i wouldnt bother

I went at the beginning of April about 4 years ago and had the best ski holiday ever, but there was a lot more snow!!

Skied all morning till late lunch then sunbathing at the Mussala Hut while having lunch, with great ski down Mussala path back to Rila!

Hi Charlie, In Borovets the season lift passes run to the 15th April and the season usually ends on the weekend after this, but if the snow is good the resort often stays open to the May 1st holiday.
But this year who knows?
It has been very warm through January into February and more or less with no snow.
Things can change, often March is a good time for snow in Bulgaria, but this year who knows? It has not been normal weather anywhere in Europe.
But we can still hope.

Thanks for the replies and advice it was a serious request not an April Fools and the snow is now falling.
By the way don't know why I'm down as an Expert 800 posts, this has only been my second post.
