re:Borovets melting??

It's very warm here today; if I was at home I would class it as beach weather! It was at least 20 deg c. Yes the melt is happening fast at the moment, we have also had strong winds which has brought down two trees across the run just up from the Rila. We are finding skiing but it's vanishing fast.

re:Borovets melting??

I too am anxiously looking at the webcams and the icy/slushy patches and rocks and dirt that are rapidly appearing. We are due to arrive 27th Feb and have contacted the travel agent to see if we can change destination for a fee. The weather could suddenly change and dump a lot of snow but it's not looking good! Likewise, the snow in Andorra/Austria could suddenly start to melt too, though they are expecting more over the next 5 days.

re:Borovets melting??

I'm due out there for my first ski holiday at easter and am becoming depressed rapidly!!!

Historically Borovets has a late season, so fingers crossed that trend continues.

re:Borovets melting??

Have faith, you are right that the trend in Borovets is to have good snow later in the season.
We have always recommended March as the best month.
Please snow god do not disappoint this year.
