re:Currency

Regarding Borovets. I'm sure most would agree to exchange either in resort or in Samokov town as you do get a better rate.
The £ is v. strong atm so it should continue this way into next year. However, it is your choice whether to change in UK or wait until in resort.

re:Currency

take enough Lev to last you a day, and change the rest in resort.....you will get 30 Lev more to the £ in resort at Crown Exchange

re:Currency

Lev is pinned to Euro
So you could always get some euros, but city forecast the £ will strengthen v the euro through to next year.

If your happy with what is on offer, then exchange now

re:Currency

If you are going to Pamporovo, there is no bank in town anymore there so you are at the mercy of the various hotel reception exchange rates. Its a gamble and a risk whatever you do - whether to purchase now or leave until later. Why not get some in advance and some later to cover all bases?

re:Currency

I personally would not change any in advance. Here in Samokov, the rate is currently extremely high and better than you can get in the UK. None of our customers ever need money for the first day and exchange places are open until late, if not many hotels / bars etc will change it for you - just make sure they are doing it at the going rate.

In addition, if on a private transfer and if between 8.30 and 6, ask them to stop at exchange in samokov - apart from the banks, there are 2 places.. ...

I also agree with laBombaTomba...keep an eye on it or pay in advance for some services if it works on the GBP to Lev rate for you.

re:Currency

Hi Nicola,

No - sorry ! Bobby's Bar is no longer located in the building you visited - most peeps didn't really like the building, lack of alpine atmosphere etc which we totally understand so we have moved down the road! Hopefully you guys and your kids will be happy with the new place!

x
