re:Insurance

I thought I would post a quick update to this as I just spoke to my Insurance company to renew my annual policy.

I quoted this story, and the agent stated that (a) at least with them, they would pay for wherever you were taken - whether it be private or EHIC funded - at least up to the value of the policy. (b) they stated there would be absolutely no requirement to get details of anyone who caused you an injury - it just had to be an accident as opposed to you deliberately harming ...

I realise these are only verbal commitments, and therefore worth nothing - but certainly a sense of confidence.

I didn't intend to use this as a promotional activity for my any company, but happy to share details if anyone wishes.

re:Insurance

Holiday insurance incl accidents don't require , swopping of details, plus many people would blame the other party as I have witnessed before .

Thanks for the update .

re:Insurance

or keep everything electronically, on something like dropbox, so you can access the documents from a smart phone. If they want them as paper you can then email them direct from the phone to whatever email address they want. I wouldn't mind betting everyone has their phone on them when skiing/boarding.

re:Insurance

use your smart phone to take photos of your documents. All very well using dropbox, until you have no internet connection.

As for the original post. Since when has travel insurance been 3rd party?
Your comprehensive. I would take it up with the ombudsman tbh. Name & shame the company pls.
