Large dumping of snow in Bansko

Would I be correct in saying Bansko has had a huge dumping of snow this weekend?

Is there any in the village too?

We are out on 21st March ... and can't wait

I've friends out there now who have sent pics & webcam of the centre show well over 3 feet of snow in the village and its not stopped yet nor is it forecast to for days yet .


Were out 14/3 with Steve C taking us to Bansko. Our little girl 3 yo is so excited about it - so am I all the snow epic best for YEARS

It's difficult to get official figures..... but, measuring the depth of the snow at the petrol station on the way into Bansko it was 1.2m at day 4 of the storm, taking into account the consolidation and natural compression over 4 days that would put the fall in the region of 1.7m... there is a lot of snow, and it is still snowing, lightly in the town, but heavy on the mountain, the top is recording over 3m cover

Ah will you stop. Just making me sick now.

I had to dig the car out of 3 foot of snow last Saturday to get back to Sofia for a flight on Sunday so missed the best of the snow.

Lesson for next year, beggar the car hire and let someone else take the responsibility of getting me back to the airpors

Sorry mate If it is any consolation we have been driving whilst the heaviest snow was falling (and very interesting it was).... errrr being responsible for getting people back to the airport
