Musala Pathway, Borovets

Hi, Does anyone know why the Musala Pathway has closed today! Is it lack of snow! We are coming out in 2 weeks and wanted to ski it but it seems to open and close quite regularly.
Cheers Charlie

Hi Charlie

I just back today after a perfect weeks skiing!
Unfortunately as I'm sure you are aware there has been a huge lack of snow this year.
The Musala was open at the beginning of the week as there had been snow for a few days. This was a first fall so no base layer.

After a couple of days it did start to get patchy and in one area in between the 2 sharp bends at the top it was getting dangerous. We were then told a skidoo had gone up and really messed it up so they had to close ...

Sorry can't see it being open again unless more snow :-(

We had a go down it last Weds and have to say was hard work, and Hilly hope the hangover from the last night (Friday) did not trash your last days skiing! It's all Krassi and Simon's fault Wink hope the rest of the group got home ok? R

Hi R
Surprisingly enough I wasn't too bad!! But I think Krassi was the one feeling it, said his legs felt like lead!!! It was nothing that a bowl of Tripe soup and small beer couldn't sort out!!
Confused

re:Musala Pathway, Borovets

Ha ha ha. I'm glad Krassi struggled on Saturday. He deserved it for the amount of gin and vodka he helped us consume. We had the most awful hungover coach transfer and flight home but it was more than worth it for that night out!! Even if Simon did murder Angels several times!!
