I'm not sure what is the politic this year, but in the last year the officals decide to closed the Mussala pathway for skiers and don't maintain it.

So how it will be stay closed for the hikers

Hi Jason,
We were there last week and skied it although it was still officially closed. Halfway down a tree had fallen right across it (there had been a gale on our first day) which you either had to climb over or under. So I would guess it will stay closed until that is cleared. The snow was lovely until about two thirds of the way when it became hard then icy and stony (few nicks in the skis) Been lots of snow since then though so. Hope you have a good time there

We had a great time. I hadn't been for a few years (been to other places) and had forgotten how much fun Borovets can be! Looks like you're going to have plenty of snow - it hasn't stopped the last couple of days...

Glad you had a good time. I believe the pathway is now open. Think could do with some more snow tho.
Where's a good place to go skiing next, only been here. I know anywhere else will be dearer
