New Year's Eve in Pamporovo

Anyone else going out to Pamporovo for New Year's Eve. Haven't been over that early before. Is there much happening?

Hi Mickey,

Was there anyone else there on New Years Eve? Was it a good night?

When you say you haven't been over that early before, how can that be? New Years Eve is the last day of the year, you can't go any later than that.

Hope you had a good time.

re:New Year\'s Eve in Pamporovo

Hi N,
new years eve turned out to be a great night and the resort was quite busy and the fireworks display was very impressive.
The ski season in Pamporovo doesn't run from 1st January to 31st December as per our calendar year. It begins mid/late December and runs to end of March/early April depending on snow conditions. I usually visit the resort every year in January and again in March but this year chose to go a few days earlier to see in the New Year which meant I was there much ...

I'm going back next saturday for another 10 days. Let me know if you're going to be there and perhaps we could arrange to meet.

re:New Year\'s Eve in Pamporovo

Hi M,

It's been a dubious ski season for me this time.
Last September I tore a knee cartilage and my skiing plans were in tatters. I was already booked to go to Morzine in France with some friends in January and it looked very unlikely that I would be able to ski.
I thought I would just be on the Apres ski.
However, once we got there I couldn't help myself. I skiid as best I could. It never made my knee any worse, if anything it was better when we got back home than before we went ...

But since then I've had the operation, and although it went well there's no chance of another ski trip this winter. Having said that I was looking at flights last night so maybe, just maybe...
I hope you have another good time in Pamporovo Mickey.

N.
