Pregnant

We've got a skiing trip booked for this Saturday 21st Feb 2015 to Borovets, and just found out im 9 weeks pregnant! I can't decide whether to ski or not, the doctor and advice online is mixed for and against. I thought i would just wait till we are there and see what its like, and suddenly thought I could ask for advice on here!
So just wondering if anyone has had any experience of skiing whilst pregnant or whether you could tell me any stories / whether there is a high amount of incidents ...

Thanks for any help.

If your pants still fit then go for it I would say, you may feel better for it being up in the nice clean fresh air.

The thing is you could be the best skier of all time -- but what if someone runs into you.

We were in the same boat but decided not to do it

I got nailed by an out of control local 2 weeks ago and seen the same happen to lots of friends.

Is it worth the risk?

re:Pregnant

Exactly -

It is highly unlikely that anything goes wrong - But God forbid if it did and resulted in a terrible outcome I just wouldn't want to contemplate that scenario and how to deal with the who said it would be ok.

You could still go but enjoy it as a holiday not an active one.

There is always next year and thereafter to go skiing again.

Tough call either way only you and your other half can make the call though.

re: Pregnant

Hi there

Congratulations.

9 times out of 10 you could ski without anything happening but if it did, knowing you are pregnant and still went ahead and skied, it could make your insurance null & void.

Take care

(apologies if this is posted twice but my first attempt didn't show Confused )

re:Pregnant

Hi, congratulations!!!!!!! Personally I wouldn't ski as there are a few rough and readies on the slopes who don't bother about anyone else. We are booked for 28th and I am unable to ski this year because of recent surgery on wrist, so I have my e-reader fully loaded and the Flora where we staying has a pool, so will swim and read for a week while the other half hits the slopes Sad Never mind it's still a nice break. Take care and enjoy your holiday and pregnancy Razz Razz Razz Razz

re:Pregnant

Hi everyone, thank you for your replies.
I've decided not to ski and just take it easy. Like a few of you have said i think i have a 95% chance of being absolutely fine, but the risk is too high for me to take that 5% chance.
Already on to planning the next skiing holiday now though!!

Thank you!! Really appreciate everyones kind comments.
