Hi Mark, Paul, I walked up to the top of the Sitnyakovo chair lift and the new cannons were running. On the baby slope as you come off the chair lift the cannons were blasting away and there is already good cover, but there was already some real snow there to start with.
The Borosport guys were working on the drag lift, they have moved the top post further up the slope so that you will get off higher up and have more of the slope to ski than before.
Also the restaurant at the top of the slope is being renovated, from the outside it is looking good.
It is quite cold today and if you look on the web cams the cannons are running and the slopes in front of the Rila are getting whiter.
The forecast looks for it to be staying cold at night so fingers crossed and not long to go.

Hi Del, It's an old restaurant, I have never seen it working, you may not even have noticed it. We pass it when we go walking in the summer.
When you get off the Sitnyakovo chair lift it is about 50 meters straight in front of you, it is just beyond where the single chair used to finish before it was replaced with the 4 man chair.
I guess that now the slope has cannons it will work all season and it has been worth somebody refurbishing and opening the restaurant. Maybe it is Borosport? I expect Karen and Bobby know, I will ask them the next time I see them.
