Thoughts turning to Snow

Well, despite a lovely 2 hr walk in the sunshine this morning my thoughts are definitely turning to skiing. Brochures and Magazines through the post yesterday, emails from all and sundry advertising the forthcoming season and the FIS calendar starts at the end of this month. Hopefully the forum will liven up a bit after a quiet Summer. Plenty of topics to discuss including:

Well, despite a lovely 2 hr walk in the sunshine this morning my thoughts are definitely turning to skiing. Brochures and Magazines through the post yesterday, emails from all and sundry advertising the forthcoming season and the FIS calendar starts at the end of this month. Hopefully the forum will liven up a bit after a quiet Summer. Plenty of topics to discuss including:

New Ski Gear - Anyone get any bargains in the sales ? I bought a pair of Rossignol Soul 7 Skis, £350 including bindings. A steal ! Just need to learn to ski powder a bit better...

Ski Show - Anyone going to either of the shows later this month ? Went last year to London, ended up with a bottle of toffee vodka ! Great Avalanche talk by a Canadian chap called Henry.

Trip booked yet ? - My mates and I have set aside a week late January for our annual trip to Bansko. Not booking flights until we are sure there will be reasonable snow to ski. We were very lucky last year but a lot of people weren't !

Season Ski Pass - How did the 40 day pass affect the locals (Steve for instance) last season ? Will Ulen be doing the same this year ? Will they come up with another way to monopolise the mountain ?

Upgrades - Any mountain upgrades or new development/restaurants/bars ? Looking forward to a pint and a steak in the Irish bar.

So, i look forward to some a good season and some good banter on the forum.

Cheers, javascript:addSmile(' Booze');
