Accomodation in Samokov

Hi,as we tried to reduce our costs we will give a try to a hotel in Samokov Town. Is there anybody else who is going to stay in Samokov, too from 31January to 7February ? Any experiences ( I prefer the good ones
)about accomodation in Samokov ?

Hi, I live in Samokov town and if you want self catering apartments I can recommend Gerry & Sandra @ http://www.koolski.com/or for a B&B in a village just outside of Samokov there is Stef & Kenny @ http://www.rilalodge.com/
in another village there is a great catered chalet, Ruth & Karin @ www.blazinbulgaria.com
or there are ample small hotels in Samokov, basic but modern and clean are the Grand Hotel or Hotel Niko (I think both cost around 25 GBP per night but not too sure)

Can't speak for all the above mentioned companies, but my mate stayed in Gerry and Sandra's (Koolski's) 1 bedroom apartment last year and was very, very well looked after ... Gerry even put a few essentials in the fridge for arrival including a big bottle of Kaminitsa! Apart from the distance to the slopes, it comes highly recommended.re: Accomodation in Samokov
we thought quite a long whether staying in Samokov or not, because the atmosphere in Borovets is unbeatable.
But for the enormous amount of money we save, we could use a couple of times a taxi each day and would still have not less money left over. I forgot to write that we have already booked a cozy Bulgarian hotel and we were just looking for accompany in Samokov if we are not too tired in the evenings. But thanks for your tips. We willnevertheless take a look at the given addresses as ...

my family and i are off to borovets 31st jan also, we have an apartments just outside Borovets centre (about 500mtrs), but most evenings we travel down to Samokov for the restaurants. It really has some fantastic places to eat, at a very reasonable prices. I can't believe that it has not attracted more tourists from Boro. But hey better for the likes of us to enjoy the real local hospitality.kevin

Hi Kevin,We, a couple from Germany, have a double room at the Hotel Relax in Samokov, ulica Rilski Skior 8. That is not far from the central bus station. If you lik to meet for a meal or beer, please send an email.

Hello Roland,Thanks for your kind invitation, maybe we might meet. Unfortunately with two children under 12 it is not always possible to plan. I will email you before we go. We are also meeting friends in Boro too, so may not have time, but i hope you have a great time.Please try Kokushkova Kushta in Samokov for a fab meal, you will love it. (the name in english is Chicken house)

Hi RolandThere is a small bar called Cafe Club 51 opposite evrofootball near to the traffic lights on the bridge. I am in there most evenings with crazy old Scottish man (Willy) if you want some company for a beer. It's the best pint in town as Ani & Petiya serve the beer in frosted glasses!
I also recommend Kevin's choice of restaurant, kokushkova kushta is very good.
