if you're after 'lively' the the Lion Bar is probably one of the best I've been to out there - good atmosphere, music and it never closes.... Also the Happy end at the bottom of the gondola is good too but seemed a bit pricier than others - but they have live music most nights. Very Happy

Happy End, is a bit pricey Surprised
Friendly and Lion both owned by same company, not the cheapest but lively enough...
Amigos, and B4 across the road, again tourist prices...
JJ Murphys, 2lv for a Shumensko, nice surroundings...
Irish, happy hour 5 til 6, cheapest beer in town over that hour, and deals after... All do food, varies in price and standard...
At the end of the day, try `Pirin Bistro' opposite ice rink, cheap food and drink, and can get busy with good atmosphere, or the `George' ...

Kid friendly everywhere, but menus will be more recognisable in tourist bars, especially Irish or perhaps Friendly...

JJ Murphys is at the top of town, go up between Perun and Lion Hotels, and turn left...
Friendly is under the Fortuna apartments just down from the traffic lights near the gondola...
Local beer anything from 1.50lv to 3.00lv...
