Water Safe to Drink

I'm sorry - I know it's a cliche! Confused
Is it OK to drink the tap water - previous posts suggest otherwise. I'm off to Borovets on Saturday. If it's not safe I'll just have to drink the wine(Bulgarian Merlot -yum) and the Beer Booze Booze Booze Very Happy :

Tap water is fine but they always recommend bottled to be safe.

Agree with Karen, it should be fine for you to drink the water, but as you can get a litre of bottled water for about 30p why risk it.

And in case you were going to ask........ yes it's OK to drink the Vodka Razz

Hi

Bulgaria is one of the few Balkan countries that purifies it water etc. I drank it in Pamps, no problems. It tastes a bit chlorine,(more so than Our water). But if your insure, drink bottle water.

re: Water Safe to Drink

good question !!!
No problem for the water from the mountain resorts, very pure and clean. But in Sofia and sea resorts, you absolutely have to drink mineral water only, even for ice cubes !!!! Every year in Sozopol there are hundreds of people infected by viruses .
Just be careful Wink
