For the average skier, Orion skis are fine and are freely on sales throughout all Bulgarian resorts. I believe there is a factory in Chepalare, some 10km from Pamporovo where they are made. They are of good quality and should last you many years.
In Bulgaria you can purchase a pair including bindings for approx. 300 levs which compared to prices in the UK is very cheap.
Orions are OK if you are a beginner. When you start skiing better you will want something better and more expensive. The quailty and design are good though. The factory in Chepelare is producing and exporting other brands too, which are more famous, but more epxensive.
I was at the factory earlier this year. True they are making skis for other manufactures more well know. However they are now making their own skis to exactly the same specification. So you can buy Atomic probably made by Orion or you could buy Orion made to the same exacting standards as Atomic. The choice is yours.
