went up by gondola today and saw an animal - at the forest far away from slopes and huts. it was as big as a medium sized dog, brown color. It looked definately like a wild animal but wasn't as long or as red like a fox. So I suppose it was a bear!?!re: saw a bear in Bansko
Lucky you, I've looked for so many years to spot a brown bear but no luck, only footprints

bears hibernate, so I doubt it was. Probably was a large dog - most bears have been shot by now in southern BGre: saw a bear in Bansko

There are around 700 brown bears in BG and they are now protected. It could have been one as they do come out occassionally in winter, although it is very cold at the moment or it may have been a wild boar.re: saw a bear in Bansko
