Back from a fantastic weeks skiing in Pamps. Only negative thing was the journey as had to be diverted to Sofia due to fog so journey was 18 hrs but Crystal/Thompson kept us informed and were friendly/professional.Plenty of snow as has been snowing since Thurs, very different to last year. 2nd year at the Orlovetz,10/10 .It's luxurious, good facilities and very good food.Bulgarian dishes but there is always chicken, chips, salad.Must go to places is the White Hart for atmosphere/live band, and the Barbeque restaurant for local food, top quality and very reasonable.2 course meal and drinks for £10 pp.There is live entertainment of fire walking and Bulgarian dancing included,a fab night out.On the slopes a bit more expensive but the brothers is a must, great pizzas.Best hot choc is from the grill(red shack)between the Irish and silver lake on green run.Doesn't look much but is friendly and so cheap.Ski school good but do ask them to take you to different eating places cos there are so many good ones.Pamps has a fantastic holiday atmosphere whilst retaining a Bulgarian feel,it is easy to understand why people return year after year.We certainly will be!
I've just come back from a week in Pamps staying at Suelex appartments. Food very good in the village and the mountains. Especially all the hot chocolate which I have had.
Lots of snow, lots better than last year. I was skiing everyday, it was brillant. Really didn't want to come back to the UK.
Looking forward to next year already!
Hi Marrianne
Sorry we missed you to exchange details on the last day, would be good to keep in touch though.
Brilliant holiday I agree, the nightmare journey on Saturday 2nd soon forgotten. We had a great journey back, no delays and back at a reasonable time.
Say hi to Clive and the kids, best wishes from Penny, Mick and Paige.
Monty the BBQ place is actually part of the Murgavets. Enter hotel through lobby turn left at the lift and walk past the couple of shops and entrance is down some steps in fromt of you.
Hi Penny,Great to hear from you,i was wondering how to get in touch. Contact me via email and we can exchange details. Our journey home went without a hitch, managed a last lunch in the barbecue! M x
