It fell upon the mountainside, while I was fast asleep,
If fell amongst the pine trees, it's path was wide and deep,
It fell when all the songbirds were tucked up in their nests,
It fell when all the locals were entertaining guests.
It fell when knowone saw it, it fell so soft and pure,
It fell to serve it's purpose, to facilitate a cure.
It fell so I could greet it, on a cold and sunfilled morn,
It fell to bring the smiles back, to faces all forlorn.
It fell so very perfectly, no man could ever match
The twists and turns on mountain ferns without a single patch.
It fell for all the people who'd travelled far and wide,
To celebrate this Christmas time, a Bulgarian Yuletide.
It fell not for a moment, not even for a while,
It fell, and fell, and fell, and fell, and did it quite in style.
It fell to feed the bellmen, as through the snow they toil,
To sell thier wares to them that cares on natures frozen soil.
It fell to please the boarders, so they could jump and spin,
It fell to please the skiers, so they too could join in.
It fell to make us happy, for us to share some joy,
It fell for every one of us, for every girl and boy.
It fell and grasped the branches to try and break its fall,
It fell to fill the slopes with snow and populate the Wall.
It fell to fill the rivers with diamond waters bright,
It fell to let the Huskies run on carpets of delight.
It fell upon the cars below, it does that just for fun
To see the guys with gaping eyes clear screens on every one.
It fell on places no man, had ever trod before,
It fell upon the hedgehogs nose, which made him change his snore.
It fell for you it fell for me, and it does it every year,
And it will snow again this time, of that you have no fear.
