Well another beautiful morning in Borovets - still lots of snow and sun shining. Quite busy with locals rather than tourists, but still pretty empty compared to previous years.

Hi All,
Well another beautiful morning in Borovets - still lots of snow and sun shining. Quite busy with locals rather than tourists, but still pretty empty compared to previous years.
In terms of lifts, the only thing not open again is Marky 3 which is a shame as although the slopes aren't good enough, there is some okish off-piste skiing to be had over there. But, as per yesterday, Marky 2a and b are open again, so it's only the Martinovi Black (above Rotata) and Marky 3 which are closed. The snow from NY Eve has really helped and once again there is some powder with perfectly groomed pistes.
On the Rila side, the rila slopes are in good condition as are the Sitnyakovo slopes, the Royal express way is better towards the top but slightly rocky towards the end.
The best skiing is to be had on Yastrebets - reported as excellent condition and also on Marky 1 - again, said to be excellent.
Mussala Pathway is good again (slightly rocky patches towards bottom) but better than it has been.
This is as from 9.30 BG time, but will update again later!
