Hi Guys,Not loads to report about but a confirmed change to the slopes...
They are currently clearing all the growth at the side of Yastrebets 1, widening the piste by between 20 and 50metres. At the moment the work is taking place towards the bottom half of it (ie: after the mid-way station) although the whole piste will be widened.
This is their 'project' for the next couple of weeks and I will keep you posted on the next one!

Thanks for the updates Kas.There must be other items that they could spend their money on rather than widening that.

was at Boro last week and swa they were digging as trench on the side of the Rila slopes. Are they planning fixed snow cannons?re: Borovets Upgrades - Yastrebets 1
See previous post...the trench you saw them digging is to help the drainage / pipes for the existing cannons...there are currently no more new cannons expected on the slopes you are talking about....

When over at the weekend Kas, we were told by some of the guys working for the bike park who work for Borosport summer and winter that they were adding new cannons to the Rila runs and that they would be helping once the bike park closes at the end of month. they also said that they were widening Yastrebets 1 again in preperation for new cannons.
He also said that they were hoping to get a new resevoir over on the Rila side to improve water for the cannons but he wasn't sure if this ...

Two pipes in each trench, one red and one black running straight up the side of the red opposite the Rila, and i saw a new concrete base beside the trench as you enter the Red 8 freeride trail... Somethings going on

Hi Kas, steve and nightmuffy,it willl be great to hear all of the official plans from Kas and Bobby as well as all of the ideas,rumours and dreams!!
a wider ammount of cannons will be great as the only runs that really worked last year were the yasterbrets ones covered by cannons. it would be good to have a wider cover on rila side and up top too as the wind seems to have scuppereed things up there for the last 2 years.
