Hi All,
Not been posting during the summer months as spend far too much time on here in the winter(!) but for any of you who have apartments / properties etc out here and are planning a summer visit, just to let you know they are building a new paint-ball / go-karting complex in the village of Belchin - around 20mins from Borovets. If anyone knows the area, you will know there are 2 outdoor swimming pools in Belchin - it is located next door to the old one. They haven't released prices ...

And (although this is probably not very interesting for you guys!) we will be getting our first Ikea here very soon!! The building in Sofia is progressing rapidly and set to open second half of 2011.

Kas- i know my kids would love that! even in the winter!- we did a paintballing party for Pauls 12th birthday and it was great fun - spent a fortune on paintballs like!Hope its still available for the winter- could be quite good a forum paintball meet! (and of vcourse beverages later!)

I love a good paintball session but not below freezing thanks and has anybody tried go karting on a wet track or ice. I think very wise to have a winter break

Well to be honest Emjay last 2 winters have been like summer in Borovets and the surrounding areas so may work!!!!
Kaz we are very interested in this any info would be much appreciated. We are over next week for the Bike Park opening and the weekend after for the DH race as I have entered. Hopefully see you over there in the Malina restaurant.
By the way we have a webcam set up from the Malina rstaurant looking up at the chair and the final part of the Downhill course. If anyone wants ...

Ian - have sent you an email offline re: next year but don't think it will be possible in the winter as it's outside - but I agree with NM that the last 2 winters have been more like summer, so it may be fine!!
NM - the weather is rubbish at the moment but Bobby Jnr works at the swimming pool next to the track, so we will ask him for more info when he next goes to work. It's not open yet, but they do plan on having it ready for the summer. They haven't released prices yet either ...

We will be there from Saturday - monday evening. Then will be back the following weekend as i am entering the DH Cup(must be mad having seen the new pics of the changes to the course
)Perhaps from the 24th - 26th for definate as this is the practice and race days!!
