Yeah dont go to Andorra go to Borovets instead ive been to both and would go back to Boro every time, as far as the skiing goes they are both as good as each other just Boro is much much cheeper. Ok so the food or hotels are not as good but when you take into account how much you spend during your week the Bulgaria wins every time, Until 2007 that is.
Ditto.
Been to Andorra. Cheapish. Stayed in Saint Gothard Hotel, Arinsal OK. Wouldn't rush back.
Stayed at Rilla, Borovets last year and going back this year. Nuff said.
Same as all the above comments. Did Arinsal last year & just back from Bulgaria yeaterday. They don't compare. If you want to party, choose Borovets, if you want traditional charm, go for Bansko. If you are complete beginners, go for Pamps.
just got back from andorra on 2nd jan and had a fantastic time. the conditions were excellent for boarding ,plenty of powder.couple of days there was low visability but was sunny most of time.resort i went to was pas de la casa which is renowned as a party spot and it didn't dissapoint.it's no ibiza but theres more than enough bars and a few decent clubs to keep anyone occupied.prices are reasonable about 3 euros for a beer which are 2 4 1 on happy hours. i'd definately go back. off to ...

I just arrived back from Borovets early this morning and had a good time although the conditions were crap and Skiing was almost as bad by the end of the week, We even jacked it in Friday morning because it was so bad.
I think Borovets is great for first timers but found it a tad limited, also got a boarder for a Hubby and he found it quite limited too.
Just Got back from Borovets yesterday and also just did Pass dela cassa, Andorra on the 26th of December.
Borovets, never again. Skiing crap due to no snow, some of the button lifts were terrible for the less experienced therefore concentrating people in one or two areas, people in the resort try to rip you off at every turn(taxis, bars, money changers etc), prices too high given our Pamporovo experience (loved it) last year. In my own opinion Borovets is trying to act like a full five star austrian/french/swiss resort without the infrastructure in place. On a positive side for Borovets two of our party were absolute begineers, the Samokov ski school was excellent and had them confidently enjoying themselves in a few days. IMO its a beginner resort and thats about it.
Andorra. I keep hearing people saying its bad but when did they last visit? There are three to four valleys all connected on the same lift pass, the skiing is excellent there (I have ski'ed for many years and sampled lots of places). Drinks are cheaper in andorra than borovets given the measures. Our holiday to Andorra cost us less than the one to Borovets, facts speak for themselves!
