1 day trip from Bansko to Borovets or other way

Is this a crazy idea? We are staying in Bansko for 10 days and there is that competition going so some of the pistes are closed. I suppose we will get little bored over there so has anybody tried to go from Bansko to Boro or other way around? What transportation do you recommend? How much does it cost?

Thank you Will. I google it and it says that the trip takes 1 h 31 min. If you dont have any real proof I trust the google.

Borogirl - I would not have thought it much more than that because if you think about it - it is about an hour or so from Sofia to Borovets and 2ish hours to Bansko from Sofia then Bankso to Boro cannot be more than an hour and half.

We were in Bansko last week, and the pistes for the race are closed. They use Todorka & Tomba. But there is still plenty of ski runs. It is about 22 Km from the top to the bottom, and this can be done in a variety of routes, all ending on the ski road home. If this isnt enough, you can turn right on the ski road home and do both Chalin Valogs...

Hi guys..

Have replied to Matti..
Bansko to Boro on a good day is 1hr 40mins, 2 hrs tops even in the snow (i know, i`ve done it)...
Am looking at trip for the guys, 07.00 pick-up in Bansko and hopefully at the Boro gondola before 09.00. Ski all day (works hell ), then a little apres in the Alpina, and back to Bansko for 21.00....

What do you think ???
