Kas, Big Thanks for the updates. They have proved invaluable alongside your local knowledge.I am out on the 16th for a week, just praying Gatwick and Easyjet can get us out there.

Dan, See you there. Me and a mate are out from Gatwick on the 16th. On the Thomas Cook flight at 13.05.Many Many Thanks Kas. Hope to see out one evening, I think it was the 20th ??? at Titanic...... Hope theres plenty of Icebergs !

Me and a couple of mates coming over on the 23rd from Gatwick for a week. Its my 30th on the 23rd as well so its Bday drinks the night before. Look out for the Hung over travellers.

Know what you mean Nelly,wife thinks I am bonkers for speaking to "strangers" on this forum, but am unable to resist. I look first thing in morning and last thing at night.

Hi, saw the snow yesterday and took the plunge, Booked for hotel Samokov on 30th Jan, (£1800 for 4 adults with full ski packs and insurance), think now may have been a bit hasty, just found this forcast -http://www.zoover.co.uk/bulgaria/bulgaria/borovets/weather

my tickets came today - for holiday leaving on 23rd!! still 8/9 days so fingers crossed while snow dancing for a few more flakes!!woo!!

I'm also coming out on 23rd and I've a few queries I'd be grateful for your input on:
1. Ski Packs - do you think I'm best holding off until I get out there (given the conditions and not getting a full ski pass)? Do you save much getting the ski hire beforehand? Any recommendations?
2. I've seen quite a few reports about the Gondola being closed a lot - this might be a silly question but can you get a taxi up there instead if it is? If so, how much ...
