1st time Bulgaria, Borovets & Skiing

Hey everybody,

So its a quadruple of first's for me; first time in bulgaria, first time in borovets, first time skiing (although the wife is a pro) and we arrive on the first.

Wanted to get some advice on what the skiing conditions are like, where is good to eat & drink and any other things that should be done in my week long visit.

All suggestions appreciated Very Happy

sking is best up the top of the mountain still a couple of mtrs up there,still possible to ski down from the top via the mussala pathway which is a blue run and several red and black runs open, some of the restraunts starting to close down but suggest you try Bobbys Bar near the gondola good atmosphere and food ther is still plenty of choice so enjoy.

Thanks for the info. Been looking around this discussion board and Bobbys looks like the place to be, will definitely check it out for a cheeky 1 or 2 Booze Booze

Visit Bobby's Bar to the left of the Gondola!!! You will soon get used to it!! Great place to meet and have fun, and Bobby is a top, top instructor if you need lessons!

If you go to Bobby's Bar you'll have plenty of chances to try the Rakia....good luck.

Defo Bobby is the best !!
Get in to Bobby's bar and say hello, be prepared to stay a while and visit often during your stay!!

Rakia not that bad, unless it is a Bobby Special with chilli in it !!! my head still hurts and we were out in Jan!!

yes, the red is 'special', the green is nice, if you like pastis but the coffee is luverly. enjoy!
