Try TKmaxx, they have some reasonable childrens glasses/goggles for under a tenner.

Don't forget a good sunblock!!

Casual is good - just think how daft those dressed-up poseurs look on their first night in somewhere like Keswick and you'll get the picture!

If you have a Decathlon nearby they have fab selection of ski gear. We kitted out 2 adults 2 kids 12 and 14 yrs with everything inc ski suits goggles, gloves, hats etc for £250.00. It's worth a visit if you have one.

re kids helmets - I read here somewhere that you may have difficulty buying one in Bulgaria.

With that in mind I bought one on ebay - a new helmet, buy-it-now for £19.99 plus £4 p&p. Smaller helmets are £14.99 from this company - called SkiWear4Less. I clicked the button on Sunday evening and it arrived yesterday morning.

I just bought 2 new pairs of goggles in TKMaxx for under £20 each, but they aren't double lenses... However I've managed perfectly well in Austria in January with ...

Have a great trip!

I think I might be right in saying if you are booked in for 'learn to ski' at one of the ski schools they provide helmets for kids? Can anyone confirm?

As far as glasses go, you can buy them there from the street stands....although I'm not sure what standard they are? I bought mine before I went, and goggles too. I found I wore the goggles a lot more than the specs but that was because it was snowing. If you live in Devon there is a FAB shop 'Devon ski' in Newton Abbot!
