2 Way Radios

Hey all,

i'm a boarder, going on hol with 3 skiiers next year - i know i'll be the 1st down the mountain - so was wondering if these 2 way radio's were a good idea, so they can find me in the pub Booze after they catch up Wink

has anyone used them while over there?
are they a worthy investment? or a watse of time due to the environment?

Cheers
Andi

re: 2 Way Radios

Yes, they are in constant use on the slopes and a great and cost-free way of staying in touch with your mates.

I have used one for the past 4 years and find it a must!

Cheers PP Very Happy

Must get on EBay asap and find those all important bargains!
need me some goggles and some 2 way radios!

I take it that the Malina chalets have sockets available for charging stuff up? (like ipod's etc?!)

Cheers in advance

re: 2 Way Radios

Be sure to get a radio with a minimum of 5 miles radius. With the mountains as they are, weaker signals can be distorted or lost.

Sockets are standard European 2 pin so you will need an adaptor.

re: 2 Way Radios

well, from what i've seen, and read, Pamps is the place to go.

have been looking around for that all important "first real show" holiday, and Pamps looks like it! We are all heading out there at the end of Feb (25th) for a week - hoping the snow holds out !

Apart from the pics on this site, are there any other good pics of Pamps about online? or do u know of anyone that has some - would be ace to see more of the place.
