2 way radio's (walkie talkies) can I use them?

Off to Borovets for the first time soon, can you tell me if British 2 way radios can be used on the slopes in Bulgaria as they are not in the EU I don't know whether to bother - anybody offer any advice?

Ahhhh you might not be able to.... we took 9 of them and all 304 chanels on the radios picked up their police chanel. So they were usless. Sad
