Hi all, flying out from bristol on 23rd staying at the Lion Hotel.Anyone else staying there or have stayed there before?
On the website it looks good, hoping the reality is the same

I stayed there last time, it was fine, NO kettle in room, if you want a hot drink in your room take tea bags, coffee and a mug!
They did run out of hot meals one evening and would not let us in to breakfast before 8am which I found a bit annoying, I like to get out early.
Don't expect evening meal to be very hot and take your pudding when you take your main meal, or there may be no puds left!
In spite of that it really was fine, not noisy at all. I'm the one with the red ski ...

Are you having lessons? Daughter is in lessons but I will be out on the slopes while she is, If you want to go for a blast on the slopes company always welcome. Keep an eye out for you on Sat. Like i said on other post Im in green/grey jacket accompanied by Lily in a (snot! green apparently) jacket

Not lessons as such but have joined a ski group, I imagine we'll all be on the limited number of slopes open, last time I was there only the top was open for intermediate so at least it'll be different. Definately keep an eye out on Sat, should be easy to see - I'll just look for the snot green jacket! It does sound as though things are improving snow wose tho'............... BTW nice pool and sauna at the Lion. Last bus c6pm, outside Samokov, NOT too far to walk and there is a short cut ...

Do you know if they have a ski room, Im taking my own snowboard wondered if the ski was secure or if I should keep it in my room?It was the pool and sauna that swung it for me, getting on a bit now

Glad to hear good things about the Hotel.Fly out tomorrow, hope the snow conditions are good, it's been 3 years since my last snowboarding trip so want this ti be a good one

Yes, ditto the massage. I had a turkish bath, it was fantastic, and from memory, a decent price.We stayed there for our second time last year and would have no hesitation in going back again.

Ahh, the Hotel Lion....Big roaring fire in reception.
They really take pride in the place.
Nicely positioned by the mane road.
