3 CONSECUTIVE WEEKENDS NOW - SKIING IN WEARDALE!

Yip - fantastic conditions in Durham and the word is obviously out! - over 300 people there on Sunday and about 150 yesterday. However, the lifts coped well and the atmosphere was brilliant. Snow covering on all 4 pistes was 'Alpine' standard! with loads of off-pisting for those that wanted it! As long the temps dont rise too much during the week there will be skiing right up till next weekend at least (was snowing again last night up here!)

Swinhope Moor (near Westgate in Durham Dales). There was even a lad who had driven up from London at 2am Saturday, slept in a laybay and made the opening for 10.30am!! - Now that's dedication!
Anyway - here's the web address (its £15 on the day payable at the base lift)

Hi Avalanche

We had a great time up there at the weekend, hoping to go again this week weekend if the weather holds out. well worth a trip. took around 2 and a half hoursa from Lincoln, if I remember right your in Lincolnshire so not a bad journey, we stayed over in a b and b and made the most of it.

Been up to Weardale a four times so far this year and it has got better every time. A little busy last weekend but hoping to get up there on Wednesday, well worth the 2 and a half hour drive from Huddersfield.
